Ren Hongbin Leads Chinese Business Delegation to 2026 ABAC III Meeting in Thailand

From July 8 to 10, at the invitation of the Thai Secretariat of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to Bangkok to attend the third ABAC meeting in 2026 and addressed the closing plenary session.

As Chairperson of the APEC CEO Summit in 2026, Ren Hongbin briefed the closing plenary session on the APEC CEO Summit and invited the Asia-Pacific business community to gather in Shenzhen in November to advance cooperation and shared development, promoting even more fruitful outcomes in Asia-Pacific business cooperation, and leaving a prominent “business legacy” on the APEC “China Year”. During the meeting, Ren Hongbin met with ABAC representatives from the United States, Thailand, New Zealand and other economies, and exchanged views on jointly advancing cooperation initiatives under the APEC "China Year" and contributing high-quality business outcomes for the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.

During his visit, Ren Hongbin also met with Lin Chuqin, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of the Thailand-China Business Council, and Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group), and other political and business figures. He held working exchanges with Akanat Promphan, Minister of Energy of Thailand; Jittima Srithaporn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Commerce, and Watcharaphon Khaokham, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. Ren actively promoted the vision of the APEC "China Year" and stressed that China is ready to work with Thailand to promote the integration of industrial and supply chains of the two countries, expand collaboration in green energy and digital intelligence technologies, jointly uphold free trade and multilateralism, and achieve greater mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
