A total of 1,600 Hongqi vehicles were loaded onto a ship that set sail for Iraq on Friday at the Qinzhou Port area of Beibu Gulf Port in Qinzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, according to China FAW Group, a State-owned automaker.

The shipment included the Hongqi HS3, HS5, Ousado (H5), and HS7 models. From May to July, FAW's Middle East company aligned with the market demands and customer needs in Iraq, which led to this order of 1,600 Hongqi vehicles.

According to FAW, its Middle East company will base its operations on the regional market, focusing on customer needs, key customer groups, and opportunities in growth markets. It will coordinate the deepening of market penetration, order fulfillment, and channel capacity building, using business results to support the high-quality development of FAW's import and export business, contributing to the continuous expansion of the Hongqi brand's influence and market share in the Middle East market.
