On April 16, the World Internet Conference (WIC) Digital Silk Road Development Forum was held in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province. Li Qingshuang, Vice Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the forum.
Li Qingshuang stated that the Digital Silk Road, proposed by President Xi Jinping, has forged a new platform for promoting the common development of mankind in the digital era. China places great importance on the development of cross-border e-commerce, which has become a crucial engine driving the high-quality development of China's foreign trade and cultivating new quality productive forces. The CCPIT reinforces its role in bridging governments and enterprises, domestic and foreign markets, and supply and demand sides. Furthermore, the CCPIT actively advocates for the participation of Chinese business communities in multilateral and bilateral digital governance cooperation, offers China’s solutions to related questions and enhances its service network for cross-border e-commerce enterprises. This effort aims to facilitate the Chinese products and brands to go global and foster the healthy and sustainable innovation and development of cross-border e-commerce.
With the theme of “Connectivity and Shared Prosperity”, the forum attracted guests from nearly 50 countries and regions around the world.
