From October 24 to 27, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to Malaysia, where he attended the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2025 and related events of the 28th ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Leaders’ Meeting. They also visited Selangor for research on a semi-conductive industrial park and ongoing projects by Chinese enterprises operating in Malaysia. Witnessed by ASEAN Chairmanship Malaysia government representatives, the CCPIT and the Malaysia-China Business Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establish the ASEAN-China-GCC Business Council.
During his visit, Ren Hongbin met with Malaysian government departments, major trade associations, and leaders of chambers of commerce and industry from multiple ASEAN countries, to exchange views on strengthening institutional engagement and promoting cooperation of China-ASEAN business communities. The meetings focused on introducing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, emphasizing that the CCPIT will work hand in hand with ASEAN business communities to deepen pragmatic multilateral and bilateral practical cooperation, jointly keep global industrial and supply chains stable, and make greater contributions to building a closer China-ASEAN community of shared future.
