From May 10 to 12, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation to Guyana.

During the visit, Yu Jianlong met with Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Guyana’s President and exchanged views on Guyana’s economic and social development and opportunities for China-Guyana economic and trade cooperation. The delegation also met with Komal Singh, Chairman of the Private Sector Commission (PSC), and Peter Ramsaroop, the Head of the Guyana Office for Investment (Go-Invest). The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation between the two organizations, and further expressed the willingness to cooperate in the industrial and commercial sector, and promoted the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE).

During his visit, Yu Jianlong met with Guo Haiyan, Chinese Ambassador to Guyana, and went to the New Demerara River Bridge constructed by China Railway Construction (Caribbean) Co., Ltd. for project research.
