On October 24, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Singapore, where he attended the 5th China-Singapore International Commercial Dispute Resolution Conference. During the visit, he met with Edwin Tong SC, Singapore’s Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, to exchange views on strengthening institutional engagement and promoting cooperation between China and Singapore in the field of commercial law. Both sides signed the Joint Declaration on Cooperation in Promoting International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Resolution.
Ren Hongbin, taking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore as an opportunity, met separately with Teo Siong Seng, Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), and Kho Choon Keng, President of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The meetings focused on enhancing institutional communication and advancing cooperation between the business communities of both countries. Ren Hongbin emphasized the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, introduced China’s efforts to advance Chinese modernization through high-quality development and to promote high-level opening-up, and noted that the CCPIT will work hand in hand with Singapore’s business community to deepen pragmatic bilateral and multilateral cooperation, contributing to the steady and long-term development of China–Singapore and China–ASEAN relations.
