On September 2nd, CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang visited the headquarters of the Sinochem Group to visit Ning Gaoning, Chair of the board of Sinochem Group and ChemChina. The two sides exchanged ideas concerning the further strengthening of the APEC China Business Council cooperation.

Zhang Shaogang said that ABAC was extensively representative. It is an important platform for Chinese businesses to take part in international exchanges and cooperation and offer advice on Asia-Pacific economic development. In many years, Ning Gaoning, as the China representative of the ABAC, has been actively involved, with much credit and influence. In face of the new situation, it is hoped that the Chair of the Board, Ning Gaoning, would continue to be heard on behalf of China, sustaining the leading role of Chinese businesses in the ABAC for its healthy and stable development.

Ning Gaoning said, the ABAC had become an important platform for Asia-Pacific businesses to enhance cooperation and give advice. He expressed willingness to boost investment and be actively engaged in agendas concerning the ABAC so that it could serve better as a platform for the promotion of commercial and industrial cooperation in the region.

Officials from the Department of International Relations of the CCPIT and the Multilateral Cooperation Department of China Chamber of International Commerce were in attendance.
