On September 1st, CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang held talks with a delegation led by Zhou Hongbo, Vice Chairman of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on such issues as jointly preparing for the 17th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit and promoting Guangxi’s export-oriented economy.
According to Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang, Guangxi, leveraging its unique geographical advantages of bordering ASEAN countries by land and sea, has made important contributions to promoting China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation and serving China’s overall diplomatic and neighborhood diplomatic strategies; with close ties and in-depth cooperation, CCPIT and Guangxi will jointly prepare for the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit and facilitate its continuous upgrading, work towards the establishment of a multilateral and bilateral industrial and commercial cooperation mechanism, and ponder the idea of setting up a service center in China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone and strengthening foreign-related commercial legal services; the two entities will boost Guangxi’s export-oriented economy as well as China’s foreign trade and economic development.
The meeting was joined by heads of Department of Development Research, Department of International Relations, Department of Trade and Investment Promotion and Department of Legal Affairs under CCPIT and of Bilateral Cooperation Department under China Chamber of International Commerce, etc.
