CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang met with Masashi Iwanaga, General Manager of the Beijing Office of Japan-China Economic Association(JCEA) on May 14 in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on enhancing China-Japan economic and trade exchanges, organizing Japanese business delegates to visit China and strengthening coordination on multilateral mechanisms.
“During the outbreak of COVID-19, CCPIT and JCEA have cooperated effectively in enterprise survey and information sharing, and helped Japanese companies in China report and resolve relevant demands. We welcome Japanese economic delegations to visit China and will do our best in epidemic prevention and control. We hope JCEA can play a positive role in promoting the early signing and entry into force of the RCEP. The two organizations should further enhance cooperation under multilateral mechanisms like B20 and APEC, and make more contributions to the joint fighting against COVID-19 and the recovery of the world economy,” said Zhang Shaogang.
Masashi Iwanaga thanked CCPIT for supporting and assisting Japanese enterprises in China during the epidemic. “The signing and entry into force of the RCEP is of great significance to boosting regional economic development, so we are ready to do more in this regard and promote cooperation between the two organizations on multilateral fields,” he added.
