CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang met with Liu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal CPC Committee and Secretary of Jiaozhou Municipal CPC Committee on May 14 in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on how to jointly promote the construction of the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone.

“CCPIT attaches great importance to the establishment of the demonstration zone and stands ready to work with Qingdao City to detail the overall plan of its construction, which aims to foster new advantages in industrial cooperation and new locomotives based on innovation. Drawing on our own functions, CCPIT will continue to provide support in such areas as information channels, resource sharing and commercial law consultation,” said Zhang Shaogang.

Liu Jianjun appreciated the work of CCPIT and introduced the progress of the construction of the demonstration zone. He also hoped CCPIT could provide more assistance for Qingdao in the demonstration zone.

Officials from CCPIT and CCOIC departments were in attendance.
