The virtual Dialogue Between Government and Enterprises on Improving Business Environment (Shandong), hosted by CCPIT Department of Trade and Investment Promotion and organized by CCPIT Shandong Sub-council and CCPIT Investment Promotion Center, was held on April 29. CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shenfeng and Deputy Director of General Office of People’s Government of Shandong Province Dou Yushuo attended and addressed the dialogue.

“The fundamentals of China’s economy will remain strong in the long run despite the impact of covid-19. The Chinese government has been increasing the support for foreign-invested enterprises, and their development in China enjoys a promising prospect. CCPIT will create more dialogue platforms between government and business to continuously improve the business environment,” said Zhang Shenfeng.

Nearly 200 representatives from 6 business associations in China, including European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and AHK Greater China, as well as 49 foreign-invested companies and 60 Chinese enterprises attended the dialogue. Six enterprise representatives asked questions on Shandong's support policy for enterprises, subsidy policy for foreign-invested projects, relevant industrial planning, policy on the visa for foreign employees coming to China, etc., and officials from Shandong Development and Reform Commission, Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, Shandong Provincial Tax Service and Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government answered the questions to guide enterprises to better resume production.

Participants all praised the dialogue as pragmatic and efficient, stating they had had full discussions.
