CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan visited CCPIT Beijing Sub-Council and heard the work report from Zhang Yongming, Director of CCPIT Beijing Sub-Council on April 21. Gao was accompanied by Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT and other officials.

Gao Yan complimented CCPIT Beijing Sub-Council’s idea of further reform, supported their practice of comprehensively contacting and serving enterprises, and affirmed their achievements in helping enterprises resume production and promoting the export of epidemic prevention materials.

Gao Yan pointed out that CCPIT is a mass organization led by the Party and a trade and investment promotion organization in connection with the government. It is also an important force in foreign trade and economic cooperation. It should adhere to the spirit of the important speech give by General Secretary Xi Jinping and fully implement the decision and deployment of CPC Central Committee. It also should strengthen its political, advanced and mass-related character. It should implement new development concepts, and promote supply-side reform for trade promotion services, thus transferring and upgrading businesses to play a more active role in building a new pattern of comprehensive opening up. 

Gao Yan stressed that the outbreak and global spread of COVID-19 has created challenges to the work of promoting trade since the end of last year.

CCPIT should turn challenges into opportunities to promote the export of protective equipment, and to optimize the business environment. It should further innovate working methods, using new technologies such as Internet, big data and 5G to expand online business, and making contributions to stabilize foreign trade and investment.

Situated in the capital Beijing, CCPIT Beijing Sub-Council, in the process of building a world-class trade and promotion organization should take the lead to improve business layout, build a first-class talent team, and boost services and capacity, said Gao Yan. CCPIT will support Beijing Sub-Council to continue its innovative development and to better function itself.
