CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan Attended the Opening Ceremony of China-Latin America (Mexico) International Trade Digital Expo

In the morning of April 14, China-Latin America (Mexico) International Trade Digital Expo organized by CCPIT was inaugurated in Beijing. CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan attended and addressed the opening ceremony. 

Chairperson Gao Yan said in her remarks that the Expo was an effective platform for deepening China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation and accelerating the building of the Belt and Road with high quality together. She expressed that China and Latin America countries enjoyed strong economic complementarity, highly compatible development strategies and broad prospects for economic and trade cooperation; in the meantime, against the backdrop of a more complex and volatile global economy, the common interests of China and Latin American countries continued to expand, the potential of economic and trade cooperation remained to be unlocked, and the desire of enterprises to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation was growing stronger. She also introduced that the exhibition responded closely to the market demand in Latin America countries, especially in Mexico, and provided online business negotiation opportunities with precise match-making services for enterprises leveraging big data technology, which had gained extensive attention from Chinese and Latin American business and industry association, sub-organizers and enterprises.

The Expo, which will be held online for 15 days, is aimed to help enterprises cope with the outbreak of COVID 19 and expand international economic and trade cooperation. Chinese Ambassador to Mexico Zhu Qingqiao, Mexico Country Representative for IDB Tomás Bermúdez,Subsecretaria de Relaciones Exteriores de México Martha Delgado, Vice Presidente del COMCE Sergio Ley and other guests attended the opening ceremony online and delivered remarks. Nearly 500 attendees from government agencies, business and industry associations, and enterprises from China and Latin American countries attended the opening ceremony online.
