On April 15, the opening ceremony and the first themed training of a series of online training sessions on enhancing the capacity of trade and investment promotion among the national trade promotion system were organized by CCPIT Department of Trade and Investment Promotion and the Training Center of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC). CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shenfeng attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 1200 persons, including trainees from the national trade promotion system, members of the CCPIT leading group on trade and investment promotion, and the service centers of pilot trade zones, attended the training.

Vice Chairman Zhang Shenfeng stressed that in order to better promote trade and investment, it was important to comprehend how the job was related to and served the overall situation of foreign trade and economy, to understand the core of the responsibility and position accordingly, as well as to improve working capacity through further studying specialized knowledge of the market economy, innovating working methods and pushing synergy of the national trade promotion system around the clock.

Experts from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), as well as from CCPIT Department of Trade and Investment Promotion, gave lectures on the latest policy requirements on building of the Belt and Road, SME development and pilot free trade zones, etc..

The series of online training, composed of five specialized themes and sessions, is aimed to enhance the capacity of trade and investment promotion of the national trade promotion system, and build a more dynamic and world-class trade and investment promotion institution with Chinese characteristics.
