On the morning of March 17, Gao Yan, Party Group Secretary and Chairperson of the CCPIT, visited the New China International Exhibition Center (New CIEC) of the China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC Group) to check the security and operation of the transit service for inbound passengers from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). Chen Jian'an, Party Group member and Vice president, accompanied her for the inspection.

Gao Yan said that CCPIT should resolutely implement the directive of General Secretary Xi Jinping, that the security and stability of the capital is directly related to the general situation of the Party and the whole country. Setting up the new CIEC venue as the transit point for inbound passengers from Beijing Capital International Airport is an important political task entrusted by the Party and the State to CCPIT.

Gao Yan pointed out that CCPIT task force on service protection should, with a high degree of political responsibility, cooperate with the relevant parties in Beijing and make every effort to ensure its service support. It is necessary to carry out stringent inspections of the equipment and facilities of the stadium, ensure the safe and effective operation of the transit point, and provide the relevant staff and logistics personnel with good offices, transportation, accommodation and other support to safely conduct the prevention and control work.

The China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC Group) is a directly affiliation to CCPIT. Since 9 March, when CCPIT cooperated with the city of Beijing to take the new CIEC as a transit point for inbound passengers, CCPIT Party Group has attached great importance to the service protection work of the transit point, and asked its subsidiary units, such as CIEC and China Investment Corporation, to fully support the cooperation with Beijing to better facilitate the prevention and control work. In order to better implement the relevant work, CCPIT set up a task force on service protection to ensure the operation of a 24-hour service to support the transit point. Through joint efforts with the city of Beijing, the new CIEC now has the ability to continuously provide transit services for inbound passengers.
