Japan Association for the Promotion of International Trade (JAPIT) President Kono Yohei sent a letter to CCPIT on March 4, expressing his sympathy and support to China’s fight against COVID-19.
Kono Yohei said, JAPIT is deeply grieved by the infection and death caused by COVID-19. He pays high tribute to the efforts made by CCPIT and other institutions in preventing and controlling the epidemic, and in resuming production and operation activities. He believes, under the strong leadership of the Chinese government, the Chinese people will overcome the epidemic and he sincerely looks forward to seeing an early restoration to normality.
Founded in 1954, JAPIT is committed to promoting economic exchanges, including trade and investment between China and Japan. It now has more than 500 member enterprises, involving businesses, manufacturing, insurance, transportation, finance and other industries. Even before the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, the two parties had signed business cooperation agreements, laying a foundation for the non-governmental trade between two countries to carry out.
