2020-03-18

On February 28th, a seminar on Business in response to "going global" during the epidemic was successfully held by CCPIT Department of Trade and Investment Promotion. More than 200 experts and scholars in foreign investment and commercial legal services, overseas industrial park operators and the "going out" enterprises attended the seminar.

Yu Haiyan, Deputy Director-General of Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of CCPIT, introduced the overall situation of "going global" enterprises affected by the outbreak, as well as the counter measures taken by CCPIT in carrying out enterprise research, information sharing at home and abroad, commercial certification and legal services to create a favorable external environment during the outbreak.

Yu Haiyan said that although Chinese enterprises have been affected by the outbreak in areas including personnel, logistics and quarantine, the overseas investment and operational projects remain stable, and the impact of the outbreak on the globalizing of Chinese enterprises will only be temporary. Moving forward, CCPIT will continue to leverage its own advantages to make every effort to protect enterprises services and promote the smooth and healthy development of international economic and trade cooperation.

Experts and business representatives discussed and exchanged insights on various topics, including the current investment environment and policies in key countries and regions and the challenges and opportunities faced by the "going global" enterprises during the outbreak.

This online seminar, the third in a series on how enterprise should cope with COVID-19, was organized by the department of trade and investment of CCPIT and hosted by CCPIT Enterprises Rights Protection Center. More topics related to trade and investments will be covered to help enterprises overcome difficulties.
