CCPIT Takes Pragmatic Actions to Help Overseas Chinese Enterprises Fight Against COVID-19

CCPIT overseas representative offices have closely followed the anti-COVID-19 situation in China and the international society. By giving full play to their advantages in overseas channels and their role as a bridge between China and the rest of the world, they have shouldered responsibilities in the battle against the epidemic. In recent days, as the epidemic outbreak in China has been effectively controlled and that in other countries has been developing rapidly, CCPIT overseas representative offices has shifted their focus from organizing enterprises to donate money and materials for domestic epidemic fight to introducing China's anti-COVID-19 experience and providing services for Chinese enterprises overseas to assist them in solving difficulties and create a good overseas operating environment.

Making full use of the role as information platforms to update epidemic prevention and control

CCPIT overseas representative offices, attaching great importance to their role as information platforms, have updated Chinese enterprises in their respective countries on information of epidemic prevention and control, and promoted exchanges between them so as to encourage them to fight the epidemic jointly.

CCPIT Representative Office in Brazil has compiled, in collaboration with partners, weekly reports on COVID-19 fight and sent them to enterprises through WeChat, email, etc. to help them in their weak areas.

CCPIT Representative Office in France has provided information on both COVID-19 outbreak and its prevention and control policies for Chinese enterprises in France, and reminded them to get themselves prepared. It has also assisted DEV'UP Centre-Val de Loire in contacting China-Europe Productivity Center to find suppliers of medical mask melt-blown fabric.

In response to the requests made by enterprises to strengthen information communication and promote mutual assistance and cooperation during the epidemic, CCPIT Representative Office in Kazakhstan has made full use of the enterprises’ WeChat group to promptly release anti-epidemic information and encourage to enhance interaction between enterprises.

Actively introducing China’s anti-epidemic experience to create a good overseas environment for enterprises

Since access to China’s anti-epidemic experience and progress in other countries is not as convenient as it is in China, CCPIT overseas representative offices have taken the initiative to publicize China’s anti-epidemic experience, clarify misunderstandings, enhance mutual trust and eliminate misgivings to create a favorable atmosphere and a good environment for the development of overseas Chinese enterprises and people.

CCPIT Representative Office in South Korea has taken the initiative to pay attention to South Korea’s restrictions in response to the epidemic, ensure proper publicity and actively seek support from the South Korea side. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, it has maintained close contact with South Korean friendly organizations and business community to introduce domestic epidemic development and the effective measures taken by the Chinese government.

Chang Yun, Chief Representative of CCPIT Representative Office in the UK, has introduced China’s anti-epidemic situation during the “UK and China, United We Stand” charity event held at the City Hall in London to the British in attendance and discussed with them about how to utilize the “Wuhan Jiayou” platform to continue to promote China-UK cooperation in economy, trade and innovation.

CCPIT Representative Office in Kazakhstan has regularly contacted its main Kazakh partners, Kazakh well-known think tanks and local media to promptly share information on China’s epidemic fight to help Kazakh partners and society better understand the epidemic situation and China's epidemic fight progress, and call on the Kazakhstan side to support China’s epidemic fight.

Get to know enterprises’ difficulties and help them solve practical problems

Since the outbreak of CONVID-19, domestic companies and overseas Chinese enterprises have faced many difficulties. It has been an important action for CCPIT overseas representative offices to learn about the problems facing businesses and actively provide channels for them to solve the problems.

CCPIT Representative Office in Brazil has made use of its partners' rich experience in risk management and insurance broking to provide enterprises with professional advice and suggestions on making emergency plans, carrying out crisis management and maintaining business continuity.

CCPIT Representative Office in South Korea has conducted timely investigations on the difficulties and policy requests of Chinese enterprises in South Korea in terms of production, operation and employees’ livelihood after the country’s outbreak of COVID-19. It has then compiled a report based on the investigation results and submitted it to Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy through Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.

CCPIT Representative Office in Kazakhstan has drafted a survey report on the impact of COVID-19 on Chinese enterprises in Kazakhstan and actively assisted the enterprises in resolving their problems, difficulties and responding to their requests through communicating with relevant parties.
