China (Huai’an) International Food Expo (Expo) Online Investment Attraction Roadshow and Foreign-Funded Projects Signing Ceremony was held on March 4. Lu Pengqi, CCPIT Vice Chairman, and Chen Zhichang, Mayor of the People’s Government of Huai’an Municipality, attended and addressed the event via video connection.

“While preventing and controlling COVID-19, Huai’an municipal party committee and government’s innovative organization of this event during this special period demonstrates Huai’an’s determination to develop its economy and food industry. CCPIT will continue to support the successful holding of the Expo, contributing to the development of China's food industry and meeting people's growing needs for a better life,” said Lu Pengqi.

The Expo will be hosted by China Chamber of International Commerce and attended by heads of business associations as well as representatives of famous food enterprises at home and abroad. During the event, ten foreign-funded projects were signed online with a total investment of US$766 million and negotiated foreign capital of US$380 million.
