2020-03-09

Recently the President and CEO of the United States Council for International Business (USCIB), Peter Robinson, sent a letter to Gao Yan, Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), expressing USCIB’s deep concern about the outbreak of COVID-19 in China and great appreciation for the work CCPIT and CCOIC have done to address the epidemic.

“The global community must rally its collective resources to contain this significant threat to public health. That means finding truly collaborative solutions and focus on defeating this virus on a global scale” said Robinson, adding that “Viruses are blind to borders”. The USCIB encourages “the international business community to embrace cooperative, scientific and fact-based precautions to combat the virus and ensure that world business continues unabated throughout this crisis”.

It is reported that the United States Council for International Business is headquartered in New York and has members of over 300 U.S. companies, professional services firms and other business associations. The Council also represents the voice of the leading multinational organizations across world from the United States business community.
