2020-03-03

Recently, American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham China) Chairman Greg Gilligan and President Alan Beebe jointly sent a letter to CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan, expressing deep sympathies and great tribute to those remaining at their posts during the epidemic, and highly commending the correct decisions made and decisive measures taken by the Chinese government to contain the spread of the epidemic.

“At this difficult moment, AmCham China maintains close contact with all parties and actively participates in various rescue efforts. AmCham China firmly believes that with the correct leadership of the Chinese government and the diligence and wisdom of the Chinese people, China will definitely overcome the epidemic. Being in China for a hundred years, AmCham China has rooted in China and is closely intertwined with the Chinese people. We stand ready to work with the Chinese people and the Chinese and American governments to fight against the epidemic to dispel it, writing a new chapter of China-US mutual trust and benefits,” Greg Gilligan and Alan Beebe said in the letter.

Founded in 1919, AmCham China is a nonaligned and non-profit organization aiming to serve US companies in China and promote the development of China-US economic and trade relations. Having over 900 member companies, it represents US companies operating in China as the largest foreign chamber of commerce in China.
