Asociación Salvadoreña de Amistad con el Pueblo de China President Juan Manuel Flores sent a letter to CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan. He thanked China for its great efforts to protect its own people and the world, expressed his support to the Chinese government and people, and said that El Salvador would always stand with China.

Juan Manuel Flores said, “On behalf of Asociación Salvadoreña de Amistad con el Pueblo de China and the people of El Salvador, I would like to pay tribute to China’s response to the challenges in the fight against novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and express our support to the Chinese government and its people. El Salvador would always stand with China. We believe that China will win this unexpected battle against coronavirus.”

The letter also mentioned the specific measures taken by China, including making timely and wise decisions about building new hospitals in an extremely short time, informing the global scientific community of the critical information about the epidemic, providing support for the early development of specific vaccines, and properly treating the people infected with the virus.
