Global Business Community Continue to Support China in Fighting Against the Epidemic

China has been fighting against the novel coronavirus  pneumonia recently, and the international community have expressed their  supports and sympathies for China. International organizations, foreign  counterparts and chambers and associations that work closely with the  CCPIT expressed highly appreciated China's efforts to prevent and  control the epidemic through letters, and expressed their belief that  China will eventually prevail over the epidemic.

“Global Business Community is taking action”

International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Secretary General John W.H. Denton AO sent a letter in response to the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)–infected pneumonia (NCIP) outbreak in China. “Businesses worldwide are now taking  actions to support the government and people of China in their response  efforts. We too must demonstrate our support as the global institutional  representative to many businesses in China and many more in newly  affected countries.”

“ICC is working to identify effective ways to support  authorities on the ground by rallying our ICC global network to do what  they can to support those seeking to mitigate the effects of the virus,”  he highlighted.

The Secretary General of the Bureau International des  Expositions (BIE) Dimitri S. Kerkentzes sent a letter to CCPIT  Chairperson Gao Yan. On behalf of members of BIE, he expressed his  condolence to China, and also expressed appreciation and support for Chinese government and people in fighting against the epidemic.

“Having seen the efforts, and knowing the capacity of  Chinses Government, I believe that Chinese people can win this battle.  And in this difficult time, BIE will give full support to China,” he  added.

Factor’s Chain International (FCI) Secretary General  Peter Mulroy said in the letter to the member units that “FCI support  China’s efforts to prevent and control the epidemic. We are willing to  help China obtain necessary medical supplies, and we hope that member  units will take actions to show their determination to help our Chinese  friends”.

Peter Mulroy introduced China’s duty-free policies and measures of the  import materials for fighting against the epidemic, the categories of  urgently needed materials and their donation channels. He also called on  the member units of FCI to provide financial services to the relevant  units delivering medical products to China to speed up the export of  these important life-saving products.Patrick de Villepin, Chairman of FCI, encouraged their member units to provide  customers in the medical supply industry with fast financing solutions  to meet their urgent needs.

Sun Jianbo, Vice Chairman of the FCI Executive Committee  and ICC China Banking Committee, and General Manager of the  International Business Department of China Construction Bank said, “we  hope to let the global members of FCI know that Chinese factoring  companies are willing to cooperate with them to provide imported  factoring services for foreign suppliers and support the purchase of  epidemic prevention materials”.

"Stand firmly with the Chinese people"

Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau (the Bureau) Chief Operating Officer Omar Shehad sent Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT and Commissioner General of China Pavilion of Dubai Expo 2020, a letter. On behalf of the Bureau, he expressed his support and sympathies for China’s efforts to prevent and control the novel coronavirus pneumonia.

Omar Shehad highly appreciated the cooperation between CCPIT and the Bureau in promoting China’s participation in the Dubai Expo 2020. Meanwhile, given the situation, he  expressed sympathy and support to all families suffering from the  epidemic and wished the patients soon be restored to health. In this difficult period, he and the Bureau stand firmly with Chinese people.

Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry Secretary General Uta Schweitzer said, tremendous efforts have been made by the Chinese  government to control the epidemic. Many Brazilian entrepreneurs  expressed their confidence in the Chinese government and support for  Chinese people.

Camara de Comercio Peruano China (CAPECHI) General  Manager Zheng Guoqiang said, “China has the experience of overcoming  SARS. After the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, the Chinese  government has taken measures effectively. We believe that the epidemic  will be controlled soon”.

Panama Chamber of Commerce for Trade, Industry and Agriculture International Business Executive Laurena kishman expressed, China is an important partner of Panama's business  community. The travelling of many Chinese businessmen to Panama may be  affected. For this reason, Panama has moved the Expocomer 2020 from  March to June to convenient Chinese enterprises to participant.

"We believe that China has the ability to defeat the coronavirus as soon as possible"

Trade Promotion Council of India Chairman Mohit Singla said, “China is fighting against the severe novel coronavirus pneumonia. On behalf of Trade Promotion Council of India, I support China and express our appreciation for China’s efforts to fight against this deadly virus.”

Mohit Singla said, “In this interconnected world, the  development of individuals and enterprises is not isolated. We hope that  this epidemic will end as soon as possible, and also believe that China has the ability to defeat the coronavirus as soon as possible.”

India China Technology Transfer Central Center (ICTTC) Chairman V. K. Mishra, who is also Executive Vice Chairman of Indiana County Technology Center (ICTC) expressed his condolences and support for China’s flight against the severe novel coronavirus pneumonia.

“We believe that under the leadership of Xi, the Chinese  people will prevail over the epidemic. We would like to express our  admiration and solidarity to all the medical staff working tenaciously  on the front line. We are looking forward to China's rapid victory over  the epidemic and win-win cooperation between China and India,” added V. K. Mishra.

Business Community in Iran also expressed supports for China’s epidemic prevention and control work. Iran-China Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) Chairman Majid Reza Hariri said, “on behalf of ICCC, I extend condolences to the  Chinese people and my admiration for China's commitment. ICCC is ready  to assist China and hopes to see the epidemic under control soon with  the efforts of the Chinese government.”
