CCPIT Vice Chairman Lu Pengqi met with Ramon Martinez, Panama’s Minister of Commerce and Industries in Panama City on December 9.

Lu Pengqi expressed his gratitude to Panama’s Ministry of Commerce and Industries for its contribution to promoting China-Panama economic and trade relations and the successful holding of the 13th China-Latin America and the Caribbean Business Summit.

“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Panama, bilateral relations developed rapidly in the past two years. We have made fruitful achievements in various fields, showing a promising future. CCPIT is willing to deepen cooperation with Panama’s Ministry of Commerce and Industries and bring our economic and trade relations to a new level,” added Lu.

Ramon Martinez said, “the Panamanian government has always been promoting the sound and stable development of relations between the two countries. We are willing to strengthen cooperation with CCPIT in commercial legal service and other fields, encourage more Chinese enterprises to set up regional centers in Panama so as to drive our bilateral relations.”

Officials from CCPIT Department of Development Research, International Relations, China Chamber of International Commerce and CCPIT Representative Office in Panama were in attendance.
