CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan met with Chairman of Japan External Trade Organization

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Chairperson Gao Yan met with Nobuhiko Sasaki,  Chairman of Japan External Trade Organization in Tokyo on October 18. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions.

Gao Yan said, China’s further opening-up will bring up more opportunities for the business communities of many countries including Japan. The Japanese business community is welcomed to seize the opportunity and expand investment in China.

“I would like to express my gratitude to JETRO for your longstanding support in developing China-Japan economy and trade. Last year JETRO organized Japanese companies to participate in the first China International Import Expo, and we welcome more Japanese companies to participate in the second Expo this year. CCPIT is willing to work with JETRO to promote investment between enterprises, boost cooperation in areas such as innovation and third-party markets, and deepen bilateral economic and trade cooperation,” added Gao.

Nobuhiko Sasaki appreciated the achievements of the Chinese economy over the past 70 years and admired the results of reform and opening-up.

“China and Japan are mutually beneficial in economy, and we will organize Japanese food and agricultural producers and medical instrument manufacturers to participate in the second Expo. We hope China and Japan will conduct more exchanges and experiences in the third-party market and the Expo Dubai 2020 to achieve mutual benefits.

Also present at the forum were heads of CCPIT Department of Development Research, Department of International Relations and CCOIC representative office in Japan.
