Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Lu Pengqi, met with Jorge O'Ryan, Director of ProChile in Beijing on August 30. The two sides exchanged views on further enhancing cooperation and China-Chile economy and trade relations.
Lu Pengqi said, in recent years, thanks to the guidance and efforts of Chinese and Chilean leader, the bilateral ties have developed well and the economy and trade cooperation has yielded fruitful results.
“The Protocol Upgrading China-Chile Free Trade Agreement came into force in March, 2019, and CCPIT will organize Chinese business community to attend the APEC CEO Summit to be held in Chile in November. I hope the two sides will continue to work together in bilateral and multilateral areas to push China-Chile economy and trade cooperation to a higher level and set a good example for China-Latin America cooperation,” added Lu.
Jorge O'Ryan said, ProChile signed a memorandum of understanding with CCPIT in 2017, and the two sides have maintained good cooperation for many years.
“ProChile is ready to work with CCPIT to facilitate Chinese enterprises' investment in Chile and build more platforms for practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries,” said Jorge.
