The “Russia Day” of Expo 2019 Beijing kicked off on August 24. Chen Zhou, Commissioner of Expo 2019 Beijing, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Novoselov Maksim, Senior Adviser and Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in China attended and addressed the ceremony.

Chen Zhou said, with the theme of “Well Established and Vigorously Developed in Environmental Filed”, the Russia Pavilion displayed the rich and diverse plants in Russia, interprets the concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and demonstrates tremendous achievements in green innovation.

“This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, I wish the friendship between the two countries could also be well established and vigorously developed,” added Chen.

The “Russia Day” event features a variety of activities, such as Russian music performance, delicacy tasting, float tour, nested doll painting and so on.
