The “Hainan Day” of Expo 2019 Beijing opened on July 21. Feng Zhonghua, Deputy Governor of Hainan Province, Chen Jian’an, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Dario Mihelin, Croatian Ambassador to China attended and addressed the ceremony.

Chen Jian’an noted, the “Hainan Day” features a diverse base of leading participants, exciting events and a rare opportunity for networking. Through Expo 2019 Beijing, Hainan Province shall display the world its well-developed ecology, natural beauty and unique gardening art, and contribute to the green development and ecological civilization.

“CCPIT is willing to further cooperation with Hainan Province, contribute to the construction of Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone and Pilot Free Trade Port with Chinese characteristics, and jointly promote Hainan's economic and social progress and the high-quality development of China's open economy,” added Chen.

The "Hainan Day" includes a variety of activities such as art performances, intangible cultural heritage show, promotion of pilot free trade zones and ports, cultural tourism, exhibition of feature products.
