The “Chongqing Day” of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing (Expo 2019 Beijing) opened on July 25. Yu Jianlong, Vice Commissioner of Expo 2019 Beijing and Secretary-General of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Pan Yiqin, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing Government, Zhou Jianping, Executive Deputy Director of Beijing World Horticultural Expo Coordination Bureau, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Sherali Saidamir Jonon attended and addressed the ceremony.

Yu Jianlong noted, Chongqing has vigorously promoted industrial ecology and eco-industrialization, focusing on the construction of the major ecological shelter in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, which has played a model role in boosting the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Zone.

“Chongqing should make good use of the platform of Expo 2019 Beijing, fully exchange with other countries, and inject new impetus into the construction of ecological civilization in Chongqing. CCPIT will assist Chongqing in strengthening international economic and trade exchanges and cooperation and forming a new pattern of opening-up to the world,” added Yu.

The three-day "Chongqing Day" event included horticulture exhibition, cultural tourism promotion and exhibitions about intelligent manufacturing, intangible culture and display of agricultural and forestry products.
