Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Gao Yan attended a dialogue with Chinese enterprises in Namibia on July 19 in Windhoek.
Gao Yan said, since the establishment of diplomatic ties 29 years ago, much has been achieved in political mutual trust and economic and trade cooperation between China and Namibia. Namibia enjoys a stable political situation, superior geography and great business environment, thus the prospects and momentum of Chinese enterprises in Namibia are promising. Chinese enterprises shall be familiar with and adapt to the local legal environment and favorable investment policies, strengthen cooperation with Namibian enterprises and further cultivate the Namibian market. Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce of Chinese enterprises in Namibia shall play its role in solving the problems faced by Chinese companies.
CCPIT will provide services and support for Chinese enterprises to invest and develop their businesses in Namibia, as well as build a platform for cooperation between Chinese and Namibian enterprises, promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
14 Chinese enterprises in Namibia including China Harbor Engineering Company Limited (DHEC), CGNPC Uranium Resources Co., Ltd, China Railway Seventh Group Co., Ltd, Huawei, Beijing Tech specializing in infrastructure construction, mineral contracting, science and technology, and agriculture introduced the investment environment, difficulties and problems, demonstrating that they will dedicate to the Belt and Road construction, conduct business in a lawful and compliance manner, set up China's image, brand and reputation, and devoted to opening the new chapter of China-Namibia economic and trade cooperation in a new era.
Also present at the forum were heads of CCPIT Department of Development Research, Department of International Relations and Training Center.
