The Third ABAC (APEC Business Advisory Council) 2019 Meeting was held in Hangzhou on July 22. Chen Xiaoguang, Vice Chairman of National Committee of CPPCC, or China’s top political advisory body attended and addressed the meeting. Meanwhile, Chen Xiaoguang attended the opening ceremony of APEC China CEO Forum 2019 and delivered a keynote speech.

Chen Xiaoguang noted, the business community is an important force leading the economic growth of Asia-Pacific and the world, and ABAC plays an important role in promoting the economic development.

“I hope that the business community in Asia-Pacific region will continue to exert their entrepreneurship, jointly build an open economy, maintain the multilateral trading system (with WTO as its core), unswervingly promote the process of economic integration in Asia-Pacific region, and contribute more to the development of Asia-Pacific economy,” added Chen.

Nearly 600 APEC economic and business leaders, representatives from think tanks and enterprises at home and abroad participated in the meeting.
