The “Guangdong Day” of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing opened on July 11. Yu Jianlong, Vice Commissioner of the Expo 2019 Beijing and Secretary-General of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Hu Zhangcui, Deputy Director of National Afforestation Committee and Lin Jinwen, Chief Economist of Beijing World Horticultural Expo Coordination Bureau attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Fang Lixu, President of CCPIT Guangdong Sub-council hosted the ceremony.

Yu Jianlong noted, with the help of the platform of the Expo 2019 Beijing, Guangdong should further strengthen international economic and trade cooperation and play an active role in shaping a new pattern of opening up.

“CCPIT will continue to give full play to its advantages and contribute to the expansion of Guangdong's opening up and the development of a high-level open economy by further carrying out all-round and multi-form economic and trade promotion and exchange events,” added Yu.

With the theme of "Beautiful Guangdong Excellent Expo", the three-day "Guangdong Day" event aims to promote the achievements of Lingnan Culture and Ecological Civilization in Guangdong, including the opening ceremony, the exhibition of ecological construction, the exhibition of ancient postal roads in Guangdong, the exhibition of unique culture, the promotion and exchange of economy, trade and cultural tourism, and the promotion of key cities in Guangdong Province.
