The “Turkey National Day” of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing (Expo 2019 Beijing) opened at the Turkish Garden on July 3. Feng Yaoxiang, Director of Office of Liaison Group of the Organizing Committee of the Expo 2019 Beijing and Vice Commissioner of the Expo 2019 Beijing, Ruhsar Pekcan, Turkish Trade Minister, Abdulkadir Emin Önen, Turkish Ambassador to China, and Mehmet Gülle, Chairman of Turkish Exporters’ Assembly, attended and addressed the ceremony.

Feng Yaoxiang said, Turkey attaches great importance to its participation in the Expo and the Turkish Garden, displaying Turkey's unique landscape and culture, and the charm of "Live Green". The Turkey Garden has become one of the most popular international gardens.

“Turkey’s wonderful exhibition and rich events will surely promote the cooperation between China and Turkey under the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen friendship between Chinese and Turkish people and contribute to the building of a beautiful homeland where people and nature coexist in harmony,” added Feng.

The Turkey National Day showcases the country's rich tourism and cultural resources and unique products.
