CCPIT Chairperson Gao Yan met with Governors of Peruvian Regions

Gao Yan, Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met in Beijing with the delegation of Governors of Peruvian Regions organized by Chinese Cultural Association in Peru on June 17. The two sides exchanged views on further strengthening China-Peru economic and trade relations and promoting regional cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Gao Yan said, in recent years China-Peru economic and trade ties have developed rapidly and achieved fruitful results under the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

“Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Jointly Building the Belt and Road will give new impetus to the development of China-Peru economic and trade relations. CCPIT is willing to work with the Peruvian side to promote enterprises of the two countries to actively participate in the Belt and Road construction, and make good use of the China-LAC Business Summit and other platforms to deepen regional cooperation to continuously yield win-win outcomes,” added Gao.

Eduardo Yang Motta, President of Chinese Cultural Association in Peru, conveyed his appreciation to CCPIT for its tremendous efforts in promoting the development of Peru-China friendly ties and said he is willing to work with CCPIT to deepen bilateral economic and trade exchanges and push bilateral ties to a higher level.

Juan Tonconi, Governor of Peru's Tacna Region, Zenon Gregorio Cuevas, Governor of Peru's Moquegua Region, He Xianglian, Secretary General of Chinese Cultural Association in Peru, Jaime Casafranca, Peruvian Embassy Political Counselor in China, and Li Qingshuang, Director of CCPIT Department of International Relations, were in attendance.
