Cote d'Ivoire National Day of Expo 2019 Beijing kicked off on June 23. Yu Jianlong, Deputy Commissioner General of Expo 2019 Beijing and Secretary General of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) as well as Dosso Adama, Cote d'Ivoire ambassador to China and Commissioner General of Cote d'Ivoire for Expo 2019 Beijing attended and addressed the ceremony.

Yu Jianlong noted, Cote d'Ivoire is a reliable and trustworthy friend and partner of China. China has become Cote d'Ivoire’s largest financing partner and the third largest trade partner. Themed at “Live Green, Live Better”, Expo 2019 Beijing is an international event where all countries share achievements in ecology and seeking cooperation in the construction of ecological civilization. The wonderful exhibitions of Cote d'Ivoire at the Expo will effectively promote the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade and people-to-people exchanges, allowing more countries including China to get close to and understand Cote d'Ivoire to seek new development opportunities and make more beautiful the planet that we call home.

China and Cote d'Ivoire exchanged gifts and gave performances at the opening ceremony.
