More than 300 business representatives and entrepreneurs from both sides of the Taiwan Straits exchanged views and explored cooperation under the theme of "exploring new ideas and paths for integrated cross-strait economic and trade development". Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, attended and addressed the forum.
Lu Pengqi made four proposals on deepening cross-strait economic and trade exchanges and cooperation: First, seize the development opportunities of the Chinese mainland to open up broad space for cross-strait economic and trade cooperation; Second, vigorously carry out innovation cooperation to inject inexhaustible impetus into cross-strait economic and trade cooperation; Third, encourage all sectors on both sides of the Taiwan Straits to participate to garner popular support for cross-strait economic and trade cooperation; Last but not least, work together to explore third-party markets to open up new space for cross-strait economic and trade cooperation.
During the forum, guests discussed three topics: explore new paths for and interpret policies relating to integrated cross-strait economic and trade development, new opportunities for cross-strait economic and trade cooperation brought by the rapid development of the new economy, and strengthen cross-strait cooperation in commercial laws to safeguard cross-strait economic and trade exchanges.
