The “Lishui City Day” of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing (Expo 2019 Beijing) was held on June 8. Hu Fan, Deputy Director of China Pavilion of the Expo, Li Feng, Deputy Secretary of Lishui Committee of the Communist Party of China, Zhou Jianping, Executive Deputy Director of Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition Coordination Bureau, and Luis Schmidt, Chilean Ambassador to China, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.

Hu Fan said, “Lishui City Day” is an important part of “Zhejiang Day”. He hoped Lishui City can make full use of the Expo 2019 Beijing, a platform for exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries and regions, to spread its green development philosophy prioritizing ecological conservation and fully showcase its unique charm of the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Hu also hoped Lishui City can contribute to the success of Expo 2019 Beijing and to building a green and better future for all, and strive to implement the ‘two mountains’ concept (green mountains and lucid waters are mountains of gold and silver).

Themed at “Greener Lishui, New prospects of ‘Two Mountains’”, the “Lishui City Day” showcased Lishui City’s progress in ecological conservation, and ecological, cultural and tourism resources through exhibitions of Lishui’s intangible cultural heritage and products of mountain farming, and promotion of its business environment and tourism.
