The first meeting of the Organizing Committee of Expo 2020 Dubai China Pavilion was held in Beijing on April 23. CCPIT Chairperson and Director of Organizing Committee of the China Pavilion Gao Yan attended and addressed the meeting. Preparation work for the China Pavilion was reported, its exhibition plan and overall scheme was reviewed, and work of the next phase was deployed at the meeting. Representatives from the Publicity Department of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other members of the Committee, and officials of CCPIT Sub-Councils, large state-owned and private enterprises and partners of the China Pavilion were in attendance.

Gao Yan said, preparation work for the China Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai is making solid progress. The next step is to further enhance the political awareness, fully understand the significance of good performance in the construction of the China Pavilion and earnestly implement the consensus reached by the Heads of State of China and Arab states. We should make good use of the Expo 2020 to give full play to its comprehensive economic and social effects. We should strengthen coordination and cooperation among all partners to achieve great synergy. The year 2019 is a crucial year for the preparation of the China Pavilion. We will highlight the China Pavilion at the Expo 2020 and let it contribute to the promotion of the Belt and Road construction, the building of a community of shared destiny for mankind and the development of China-Arab relations.

The Expo 2020 Dubai will be held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021, with its theme at “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”
