The Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Gao Yan met with Huawei Vice President Jiang Yafei in Beijing on April 19. The two sides exchanged views on Huawei's development at abroad and its participation in the international exchanges and cooperation.

Gao Yan said, Huawei is an outstanding Chinese company and its achievements are encouraging. Facing new global situation, Huawei should make long-term efforts in business, legal affairs, finance and other aspects, enhance its strength, overcome difficulties and actively participate in formulation and reform of international standards and rules in the context of globalization. In terms of international multilateral and bilateral cooperation, Gao Yan noted that Chinese business representatives should face up to the current challenges and form a mechanism to ensure normal multilateral cooperation which enables them to participate in the world economic governance and regulation-making. The CCPIT and the CCOIC welcome Huawei to participate in establishing the mechanism, and will provide strong support for it and help it make full use of multilateral and bilateral cooperation mechanisms to give suggestions on global economic governance and the formulation of international economic and trade rules.

Jiang Yafei introduced Huawei's recent business development, especially overseas development, progress of the 5G project. He said Huawei will make all-out effort to push its development to a new height. Jiang Yafei expressed his gratitude to the CCPIT and the CCOIC for their support in Huawei’s participation in multilateral and bilateral cooperation and hoped they will further strengthen cooperation in related fields.

The CCOIC Secretary General Yu Jianlong and officials of the CCPIT International Liaison Department and the CCOIC Multilateral Cooperation Department were in attendance.
