2019 Roundtable Conference of Silk Road International Chambers of Commerce held in Xi’an

2019 Roundtable Conference of Silk Road International Chambers of Commerce was held in Xi’an on May 12. CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shenfeng and Deputy Governor of Shaanxi Province Hu Minglang attended and addressed the conference.

Zhang Shenfeng said, the conference is of great significance in further building consensus on cooperation among business communities of the countries and regions along the Belt and Road. CCPIT and CCOIC will continue to explore new cooperation patterns, build platforms and provide services for enterprises from all across the world to carry out dialogues, exchanges, project matchmaking and industrial cooperation to promote quality construction of the Belt and Road. He put forward three proposals to enhance the cooperation among Silk Road International chambers of commerce. First is to strengthen the exchanges of economic and trade information; second is to promote the implementation of key projects; third is to encourage policy communication and coordination.

Hu Minglang noted, Shaanxi will actively carry out production capacity cooperation, economic and trade exchanges and people-to-people exchanges with countries and regions along the Belt and Road in a more open, enterprising and pragmatic manner to promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation and to contribute to common development of countries and regions around the world.

More than 200 representatives of 54 trade and investment promotion agencies, some provincial and municipal trade promotion agencies and businesses from 30 countries and regions along the Belt and Road were in attendance. They discussed the issues like boosting the Belt and Road construction, elevating the trade liberalization and facilitation and etc, and further building consensus on cooperation among business communities and promoting broader and deeper cooperation among countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
