The East Asia Business Council (EABC) 44th Council Meeting was held in Tokyo, Japan on March 28. CCPIT hosted this meeting as the rotating chairman of EABC. The meeting was attended by about 50 representatives from member organizations.

The minutes of the 43rd Council Meeting was reviewed and approved at this meeting where progresses made by all work groups were reported and matters about submitting propositions to the ASEAN Plus China, Japan and Republic of Korea senior economic officials meeting were discussed.

All participants agreed that EABC members advance all work as scheduled, including those of (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) RCEP work groups and bringing policy proposals of the industry and commerce community to the negotiation teams. SME work group and e-commerce work group are also urged to enhance their work so as to take full advantage of the technological edges of the council members.
