CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shenfeng met with Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister of Nepal

Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhang Shenfeng met with Matrika Prasad Yadav, Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister of Nepal in Kathmandu on January 20.

Zhang Shenfeng said, China and Nepal are friendly neighboring countries. The bilateral economic cooperation has seen a rapid growth since the two countries established comprehensive cooperation partnership. Both sides have great cooperation potentials in trade, investment, infrastructure construction, etc. CCPIT is willing to work with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies of Nepal to assist enterprises of both sides to achieve mutual benefits.

Matrika noted, the top priority task for Nepalese government is to develop economy by favor of the political stability. Nepal has huge requirements for foreign investment. Nepal has gained more export opportunities from the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai in November, 2018. An increased number of Chinese companies have invested in Nepal, contributing to Nepal’s infrastructure construction and economic, social development. The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies of Nepal is willing to offer assistance for the Chinese companies in Nepal.
