Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Jiang Zengwei met with Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry of Botswana Bogolo Kenewendo in Gaborone on July 24.

Jiang Zengwei noted, China and Botswana are economic and trade cooperation partners with mutual benefits. The two economies are complementary with each other. The visit of Chinese business delegate and the Botswana-China Business Forum promoted the matching of enterprises of both sides. Jiang hoped Botswana’s Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry further provides support for the cooperation of enterprises. CCPIT is willing to promote project matching so as to achieve mutual benefits and common development.

Kenewendo said, Botswana and China bear great cooperation potentials. Currently, Botswana is improving business environment and promoting diversified economy. Botswana is welcoming Chinese enterprises in trade, investment and project cooperation. Botswana is willing to participate in China-Africa Entrepreneurs Conference, China International Import Expo, etc. to promote the bilateral economic and trade development through various platforms.
