CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei and the visiting Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Shirley Ayorkor Botchway made the agreement during their meeting in Beijing on June 11.

Jiang Zengwei noted, Chinese and Ghanaian economy are complementary with each other and have huge cooperation potentials. CCPIT is willing to work with Ghana Investment Promotion Center to promote the exchange of enterprises of both countries. Jiang made three proposals. First, both sides shall organize more exchange visits of business delegations. Second, information exchange shall be enhanced. Last but not least, policy matching and legal cooperation need to be fostered.

Botchway said, Ghana is a good partner and friend of China. Since the establishment of Ghana’s new administration, the country is dedicated to boosting its economy to realize self-sufficiency and rely less on foreign aid.

“Ghana is willing to learn development experience from China and expecting to foster cooperation in railway construction and agricultural product processing to promote our economy,” added Botchway.

Botchway paid an official visit to China from June 10 to 15 at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
