A strategic cooperation agreement signed between CCOIC and CHINALCO

China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) in Beijing on October 31. Jiang Zengwei, President of CCOIC who is also the Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Ge Honglin, CEO of CHINALCO witnessed the signing ceremony.

According to the agreement, both sides should support mutually and cooperate closely with each other in the businesses related to the “Belt and Road” Initiative and “Going Global” Strategy. The cooperation covers a variety of areas, including international publicity, trade & investment promotion, commerce & legal services, consulting & information service, member recommendation service, etc.

Jiang Zengwei said, the agreement will enable CCOIC and CHINALCO to give full play to their complementary advantages respectively and realize resources sharing, in a bid to better serve the business community and guide Chinese enterprises towards internationalized development.

Ge Honglin noted, CHINALCO is a state-owned enterprise under the direct management and supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). It is China’s largest and the world’s second largest producer of aluminum oxide. It is also China’s largest producer of primary aluminum.

“Through strategic cooperation with CCOIC, CHINALCO is willing to explore international market and establish overseas business platform to cope with challenges in the internationalization process,” added Ge.
