CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) Chongqing Pilot Free Trade Zone Service Center, the sixth of its kind among the 11 pilot free trade zones in China, was unveiled on October 18.
CCPIT Vice Chairman Lu Pengqi attended and addressed the inauguration ceremony. Lu noted, the initiation of the Pilot Free Trade Zone Service Center marked a solid step forward for CCPIT to implement China’s Pilot Free Trade Zone strategy.
“The service center will take full advantages of CCPIT’s professionalism in settling trade friction to safeguard the interests of enterprises at the zone in terms of trade & investment promotion and commercial & legal services. On one hand, we can provide consultancy services with regard to trade policy of other countries, outbound investment, financing and listing for Chinese enterprises as they are ‘going global’. On the other hand, we can provide various solutions for international commercial disputes. Meanwhile, we can organize companies to participate in the making of international commercial rules and regulations to safeguard the rights of interests of the companies,” added Lu.
CCPIT will make joint efforts with the Municipal Government of Chongqing to provide comprehensive services for local enterprises as they are going global and to assist them in the process of internationalization.
Lu Pengqi noted, CCPIT will deeply implement China’s Pilot Free Trade Zone strategy by setting up service centers in other pilot free trade zones, an extension of CCPIT’s trade promotion and commercial legal services. 11 pilot free trade zone service centers are expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
