Over 1,600 stands were set aside at the fair. Angola and China’s Guangdong Province played the roles as the fair’s “Partner Country” and “Partner Province” respectively.
When addressing the opening ceremony, Lionel Leong noted that Macao will proactively participate in the construction projects favored by the “Belt and Road” Initiative and build up a platform for business cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries. Meanwhile, the exhibition industry is being promoted as a priority for attracting more large-scale international exhibitions to settle in Macao, and providing opportunities for small-and-medium sized enterprises and local residents.
