CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone Service Center, the first of its kind among the 11 pilot free trade zones in China, was unveiled in Tianjin on August 23. The service center will take full advantages of CCPIT’s professionalism in settling trade friction to safeguard the interests of enterprises at the zone.
Meanwhile, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CCPIT and China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone (TJFTZ). According to the MoU, both sides vowed to further cooperation in promoting outbound trade and investment, launching international exchanges, developing exhibition industry, providing foreign-related commercial and legal services and jointly conducting researches.
“Established in 1952, CCPIT is China’s nation-level outbound trade and investment promotion agency. CCPIT will make full use of its advantages, such as broad connections with industrial and commercial sectors at home and abroad, a variety of trade and investment promotion platforms and competitive commercial and legal services, to provide all-round services with all relevant parties for enterprises settled in the pilot free trade zone and to advance their internationalization process,” said CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei.
Zhao Haishan, Deputy Mayor of Tianjian, who is also the Chief Deputy Director of China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administration noted, the administration will back up CCPIT to host trade and investment promotion events, actively participate in these events and trade exhibitions and encourage local enterprises in the construction of bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanism.
CCPIT and TJFTZ will also jointly offer services to facilitate the enterprises in going global. Both sides will foster integration of exhibition resources, expand markets, jointly host training sessions for exhibition professionals to boost the exhibition industry in TJFTZ.
The establishment of CCPIT (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone Service Center marks that CCPIT has initially implemented China’s free trade zone development strategy. The Service Center, together with the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone Arbitration Center under China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone Arbitration Center under China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), CCPIT (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone Commercial Mediation Center, and CCPIT Tianjin Sub-council Pilot Free Trade Zone Commercial and Legal Services Center, which were also unveiled, can give full play to CCPIT’s professionalism in handling trade friction alarm, commercial and maritime arbitration and mediation, to offer legal consultation, commercial credit investigation, credit ratings, IPR protection, notarization services for enterprises settled in the Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Moreover, CCPIT plans to set up service centers in other pilot free trade zones across China and the construction is expected to complete by the end of 2017.
