The CCPIT chairman Jiang Zengwei met with Asadollah Asgaroladi, chairman of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce on the afternoon of August 16. Both sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between business circles of China and Iran, and promotion of bilateral business relationship.

Jiang said, since Chinese president Xi Jinping’s visit to Iran in this January, the two countries have established comprehensive strategic partnership. China-Iran relation, in their best historical period, sees broad prospect for business cooperation. The lifting of western countries' economic sanctions against Iran has offered good opportunity for bilateral business cooperation. He hoped business circles of both sides to strengthen cooperative planning and build platforms through organization of group exchange visits and business events, to promote more fruitful business cooperation.
Asadollah Asgaroladi said, Iran has traditional friendship with China which is Iranian important economic and trade partner. Iranian business circle speaks highly of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. He hoped both sides to enhance bilateral cooperation in investment, trade, finance and other fields. Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce is willing to maintain close ties with the CCPIT to contribute to growth of bilateral economic ties.
Vice chairman of the CCPIT Wang Jinzhen, director general of the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of the CCPIT Lin Shunjie, and deputy director general of Department of International Relations Lei Hong were present.
