The Inaugural Meeting for ICC China Commission on Corporate Responsibility and Anti-corruption was held in Beijing on June 28. Jiang Zengwei, chairman of the CCPIT, CCOIC and ICC China, attended the meeting and delivered keynote speech at the meeting. Su Yuqun, consulate of International Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cui Shuhong, director of Environmental Evaluation Department of Ministry of Environmental Protection, Li Wenzhu, director of the Department of Treaty and Law of Ministry of Commerce, and Zhang Jincheng, director of research center of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission attended the meeting. Yin Zonghua, vice chairman of the CCPIT and CCOIC, hosted the meeting. Yu Jianlong, secretary-general of the CCOIC, delivered a work report on the preparation of the commission.
The meeting approved the preparatory work report and working procedure for the commission on corporate responsibility and anti-corruption, and elected the chairman, executive chairman and deputy chairman of the commission. Xu Niansha, chairman of Poly Group, was elected as chairman of the commission. Wang Zhongfu, senior vice president of China Potevio Information Industry Co., Ltd., and Li Weiqiang, director of international cooperation department of Poly Group were elected as executive chairman. Wang Wenjun, vice president of China Steel Company, Wang Shubao, general legal consul of Power Construction Group of China, Gao Zicheng, lawyer and senior partner of Beijing Kangda Law Firm and Sun Guangbin, vice president of JA Solar were elected as deputy chairmen of the commission.

Jiang Zengwei delivered the speech
Jiang first made congratulations on the establishment of the commission on corporate responsibility and anti-corruption, and the elections of the chairman, executive chairman and deputy chairmen. He said that the establishment of this commission signals the placement of all 12 professional commissions of ICC China. The next step is to work with ICC. The establishment of the commission will provide a platform for Chinese companies to understand and involve into the formulation of business anti-corruption rules and practices, and operate international communication and cooperation. It will also play a positive role in boosting Chinese economic structural upgrading and promoting the establishment of fair, reasonable and cooperative global economic environment.
Jiang hoped that the newly elected management of the commission shall involve into the ICC work, to help Chinese companies understand international rules and practices, perform their duties, strengthen industry discipline, and fight against the business corruption. The CCPIT and CCOIC will provide support to the work of commission.

Xu Niansha delivered speech after election
Xu Niansha said after election that the commission will be actively involved into the activities of ICC Commission on Corporate Responsibility and Anti-corruption, to get more information about international anti-corruption rules, gain more discourse power and enhance Chinese companies’ awareness to fight against corruption and display the image of Chinese companies.
ICC Secretary-general John Danilovich, and Denis Simonneau, chairman of the ICC Commission on Corporate Responsibility and Anti-corruption, sent congratulations to the establishment of the commission in the form of letter and video respectively.

Later, chairman Jiang Zengwei offered certificates to the elected chairman and executive chairman. Consulate Su Yuqun and director Cui Shuhong offered certificates to the executive chairman.
The commission will operate its work on the formulation of rules, promotion of regulations and policies of corporate responsibility and anti-corruption, and build platform for the international communication and cooperation among companies.
The commission on corporate responsibility and anti-corruption is a very important and active professional commission. It is comprised of more than 300 industry representatives and anti-corruption experts from more than 40 countries. In recent years, the commission helped companies execute social responsibility, fight against business corruption and promote the principle of honesty in the business communication, through policy recommendation and other tools. The commission also established close cooperation relationship with the UN, OECD and other international organizations and helped promote UN Convention against Corruption.
